Background:

Urquhart grew up in the backwoods of Carpesia, where he learned the tenets of the Cajra faith and lived them out in his life. He married, but his wife was killed in a forest fire, driving him to move to an urban center. Now a widower, he lived in Vidinia as a chef-for-hire, while studying customary law in his spare time. He was driven to customary law after he helped his wife's family get justice for the forest fire, which was started by a neglectful lumberjack. He found solace in joining the Sharirid Clan, and now continues to make money working odd jobs for whoever needs a cook, while hoping to get a spot in government where he can work on the customary law.
