Background:
Born in the Duchy of Schulendorf in the town of Vilendija to a family of carpenters, Yves had an early childhood love not only for the art afforded to her through woodcarving, but for other fine arts such as music and painting. Being located in one of the most southern towns in the Duchy, her family was subject to the Schulendorf-Yelliccia War of 1911's forefront, being forced to flee by tradeship in order to avoid the conflict, while her parents fled by train located somewhere within the Commonwealth of Tartaritum. Finding herself in the outlying islands of Faru (Segunbeztan), Yves would travel through cold waters and difficult terrain in order to settle just outside of the Faruan controlled territories, establishing by June of 1919 what is currently known as Illandimijr. She would use her previous woodworking skills to create elaborate and intricately made wooden structures melded with clay in order to create the town from the otherwise inhospitable terrain. She hopes to some day seek some form of recognition or incorporation into the nation of Faru while not sacrificing her deeply personal ideals.
