Brushing against the walls of the narrow tunnels, Delphin navigated Urbis' pitch-black underground by touch. Her hands calloused by the texture of the rough rock, she recounted her mental map of the labyrinth she carved. Finally entering a small clearing, the partisan greeted her company.
"Greetings, all."
"Welcome in, Delphin", they replied.
The Chamber was cramped, carved only as large as necessary from the rock surrounding it. Dimly lit by candlelight, maps and plans littered the walls. In the middle, a round table, on which a map of Faru was inscribed.
"I've convened the People's Militia today to express my concern with not our home, but our Republic as a whole. We have proven to be nothing but successful in pulling Urbis back from the brink of Communism, but I fear that the rest of our Republic has been neglected in our concentration on the home front."
Her voice echoed through the halls, broken only by the occasional drip of water droplets from the low-hanging roof.
"To this end, I propose we take our principles and use them to liberate the rest of our great nation, to secure freedom and prosperity for our people by any means necessary. I propose to you, the Farun People's Militia."
Murmurs filled the chamber. Delphin knew she was asking much of her brothers and sisters, to seize the day and go on the offensive. Many had joined to protect their homes, but the questions remain - had their hearts been hardened enough against Swoshevism to take up this cause? Would they rally behind her again, as they had in the past? Would they take on this crusade for the sake freedom and liberty for all? The murmurs faded and the chamber grew quiet.
"What say you, my dear friends?"
"For the FPM!" they chanted back in response.
"Good... Good... I thank you all for joining me on this noble path. We have much to discuss..."
