Background

Before deciding to begin studying the ways of alchemy, Gael has had lots to overcome to get where he is today. Grew up with his father who used to be a priest of his own Solaris parish, he has since been excommunicated from the church as he was found to be a boozer and chaser of women. One of these ladies ended up getting pregnant with our brave little alchemist and passed during childbirth. As soon as word had got out about the priest straying from the faith and chasing tail he was no longer welcome to the church, forced into "exile" to raise this child as a final test of character. When Gael was sixteen his father passed from some complications with the liver. Three years have gone by since the passing of the father he once despised, and Gael has decided to abandon his homestead and make a name for himself in Carpesia by traveling the lands gathering knowledge, wealth, status, allies, and power.
