Following his first Rite of Submersion in 1780, he fell seriously ill. Though he recovered, there were lasting effects, including occasional hearing loss, dizziness, and sea sickness. Since then, he has preferred private worship and rarely takes part in large religious gatherings, though he remains a devout Čajrabenika and actively supports religious institutions across the islands.

He took leadership of the clan in 1785 after the death of his father. Under his rule, the Kararir have focused on modernization with a strong emphasis on industry.

One of Hasan's goals is the reclamation of Carpesian territory currently held by the rival House of Saint-Yves — a Solarist noble family whose control over the land is seen by Hasan as illegitimate.
