Name: Zenghicir de La Dajois

Traits and Political Views:

  • Prideful. La Dajois is a blessed bloodline, and Zenghicir sits at their head. They, and most especially he, deserve respect. Additionally, within La Dajois, Zenghicir has earned his place.
  • Controlling. The sacred mission invests in all certain duties. Those who step aside, who disrupt La Dajois' ancient duty, deserve to face the harshest of sanctions.
  • Conservative. The ancient traditions of the clan and the guild are paramount. They ensure Tarbor's virtue. Humanity has grown sinful in its old age, avaricious and petty. La Dajois is among the last bastions of truth and beauty in this world.
  • Questionably Solarist. Of course, La Dajois are adherents of the one true faith, Sol Magna. No one could reasonably doubt that. Though, Zenghicir does not seem overly concerned with questions of theology. He would never say explicitly, but if asked to choose between the Church and La Dajois, his decision is no secret.

Some goals:

  • Whispers of a future echo from the white cliffs of the Carpesian Isles, from the crashing of the waves. An era of empty words and full coffers. This must not come to pass.
  • La Dajois has stood on a careful balance for all its existence. It is surrounded by entities that have sought to control it, whether spiritual or secular.  La Dajois is an equal partner in any dealings, no matter any legal differences in title. That is only what is right.
  • The clan-guild has been waning in recent ages. For the sacred mission, he must cultivate the next generation of smiths.

Background:

Born in 1764 in the city of Tumul, Zenghicir was groomed for the role of High-Protector of La Dajois and the Most Virtuous Guild of Taborese Smiths. His father previously filled that position and made an effort to cultivate within his son a sincere devotion to the history of his clan. Despite some youthful lapses, he was mostly successful. Zenghicir marched forward, enduring the harsh trials needed to forge a true heir worthy of ancient Raidimir. He was treated severely, beaten and burned for each failure. Yet he knew that this was what was necessary.
When his father died, Zenghicir was 24. He had only recently completed his apprenticeship and attained full membership in the guild. Yet he was a zealot, devoted beyond all practicality and fueled by youthful fire. Though the other Masters initially did not respect the young man, in the power struggle that followed Zenghicir fought for his place. Each burn on his arm, earned during hard years of toil, was a promise that greatness awaited Zenghicir. He would take what he deserved.
So he did. Zenghicir achieved the role of High-Protector at age 25, in the year 1789. He now faces the promise of great changes. Yet the Guild will survive. La Dajois will survive.
(ig people are starting to make these now?)
