Background:
A carpenter born into a devoutly solarist family, Paleologue joined and quickly became a leader of a local Solarist monastery filled with like-minded priests, laymen and women, and other church figures. While there are other monks in the grand "abbey community" he plans to build (literally, with his skill with cleaving wood), Bogdan Paleologue is The Monk. By interacting more with Carpesian "heathens", he began to respect them more and become interested in affairs beyond the monastery. While he values his people most, he has lost faith and trust in distant Areole and wishes to cultivate a more local faith within his community.
