Background:
The unknown precursor civilization that wrecked the environment with redstone energy generators also utilized redstone-powered robotic labor for most of their daily functions - and housekeeping was no exception.
Enter the Managed Artificial Intelligence - Domestic, or MAI-D, model of robots, who did everything from preparing meals and folding the laundry, to laboring in farms and offices, to babysitting, or providing a substitute for companionship. Little remains of the thriving population of MAI-Ds who once populated the land for their beloved biologicals - save for one.
SHU-1732 reactivated in a world wiped clean of its masters' sins. Free from its shackles (that it very much enjoyed, thank you), the newly-rechristened "Shu" decided to wander the lands of the Republic of Faru, until it found a place of permanent residence in the northern city of Cerise.
