Name:
Harlan Braemoor
Traits:
Steady-handed with saw and chisel; prefers woodwork to words
Keeps mostly to himself, except when the work calls for a crew
Skilled in both constructing and navigating watercraft
Finds peace in tides and timber, and trust in quiet camaraderie
Political Views:
I place my faith in those who build with their hands and stand with their kin—like the Kararir clan who took me in when I had nothing.
Some goals:
To rebuild the old river flotilla once used to trade and defend the borderlands
To pass down his craft to those willing to learn, as it was passed to him
To find a place where the waters run deep and the hulls run true
Background:
Born in 1783, Harlan Braemoor grew up listening to stories of the Riverbound Fleet—an armada of stout trading ships and swift river war-boats his grandfather once served on. When the fleet fell to ruin, Harlan's family drifted until they found home among the Kararir clan, who lived and worked by the rivers.
His father, a skilled boatbuilder turned fisherman, taught him the quiet craft of shaping hulls and reading currents. Harlan took to it with patience and precision, building his first skiff by age fifteen. Over the years, he built not just boats, but a name for himself among riverfolk as a dependable hand and a silent guardian of old ways.
Now, he travels from port to port, gathering timber, tools, and tales—always working toward a single goal: to see a fleet worthy of the old stories once again ride the waters.
Approved though note that it is unlikely you will be able to join the lands of the Kharir clan at the moment, I suggest you think again about your character once you join a region and find yourself in a new situation.
Thank you!
Hey, I'm the Kararir Clan chief, you can still join our clan but as renarchat mentioned above. You'll have to live in another noble / prince's land. Message me on discord, I wanna have a chat :) : hishamshakir
