A timid, sleepy, and slightly clumsy alchemist with an eye for details. Valis only wants to perfect their alchemical arts, pushing what their concoctions can do for the body to the limit, and surpassing it if possible.
When it comes to anything political, Valis will keep his opinions to themselves, though harbors a deep resentment for the nobility and upper classes. This resentment doesn't mean Valis won't work for them, though he will work for just about anybody.

Outside of perfecting alchemy, Valis has a secret desire that their research is working for, what that desire is unknown outside of rumors.

Valis Arbor is an alchemist, and that's all anyone really knows. He lives in the woods, hence the last name given to him, as their real last name is a mystery to all but him.
Rumors persist that something happened to his family long ago, though the truth of this is debated. Was it a political reason? Were they hunted by bandits? Did Valis' alchemy cause their demise? No one knows.
One thing is certain is that Valis has several strange burn scars along their body, most likely from the alchemy or some other experiment.
However, despite what some rumors might say, Valis will help anyone who comes to him if they're in need.
